Dr. Joanna Garcia is proud to care for children and families in her hometown of San Diego. With a passion for pediatric dentistry, she is dedicated to making each child’s dental experience comfortable, encouraging, and enjoyable.
Dr. Garcia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry from San Diego State University and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She completed her advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she developed extensive experience treating infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Garcia is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and California Dental Association. As a board-eligible pediatric dentist, she is committed to continuing her education and staying up to date on the latest advances in pediatric oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Garcia is excited to be back home in San Diego near family and friends. She enjoys staying active through tennis, hiking and spending time at the beach. She is grateful to be back in the community she loves and looks forward to caring for San Diego families.
